Personality:
Superficially Sirius seems like a complete and typical 'rich kid'. His cocky attitude and high handed airs lends easily to the belief that he's what anyone would expect from a typical rich and snotty pureblood brat. That isn't all that he is however.

The thing that must be noted about Sirius is that, for all his bravado and selfishness, he is a very confused boy when it comes to his feelings. He doesn't understand them at all. Part of the reason for this is because when something that is emotionally draining occurs he reacts to it in one of two ways. With an emotional explosion, or by trying to ignore it and focusing on something that isn't as important. Something that is petty like having fun or causing trouble. Honestly, most of the time it's the later that happens.

He questions things and thinks for himself instead of following tradition and believing in pureblood supremacy. If he cares deeply for someone or something he will fight for it with his everything. On top of that the things that he really cares about and really believes in are few and far between. People who he cares about he gives unfailing loyalty to, to the point of endangering and even giving his life to protect or avenge them. His beliefs are strong and unfailing on things. Even if a thought was halfway thought through he would follow it to it's end. Even if that end was stupid and dangerous. He doesn't believe in going halfway in things. Which is why he has caused so much trouble in the past. His friends have been the only reason that he hasn't done something that horribly maimed or killed someone. (See his attempt to feed Snape to Remus who was a werewolf at the time.)

Sirius is also a very private person when it comes to things that happen in his life. He chooses to keep his own business to himself and not to broadcast it for everyone to hear. At least that's the case with things that are important. Things that are pointless he will blow up into a fantastic story that everyone will know. One of the few people that Sirius will share everything with is his best friend James Potter. Sirius will never hide anything from James, and has been slowly learning not to hide anything from Remus and Peter as well.

One thing Sirius is very adamant about is the war and the pureblood mania that has spread all over the wizarding world. He thinks that the belief that a half-blood or a muggle born wizard has less ability to become a truly amazing wizard is stupid. This is one of many beliefs that he gained through knowing his friends, especially James Potter. In fact, most of his beliefs have been strengthened by knowing James.

To Sirius, James is like a brother In fact, he's more then a brother. Sirius sees James as his heterosexual other half. Sirius has no romantic interest in James, but he will always be with him in Sirius' opinion. James has been the one to help shape all the boy's ideals into a strong ground which Sirius stands firm on. He is a person who Sirius would die for, would kill for. If he had to sacrifice something for James' happiness, he would gladly do so with a smile on his face. This is how important James is to Sirius. By the same token those that James loves, Sirius loves. Not in the same way of course, but they become an extension of him and he will do anything to protect them.

All in all Sirius is a very selfish person and he knows it. In fact, he makes no attempts to hide the fact that he's a vengeful prick who often looks at things from the vantage point of what he and those he cares about can get from it. He knows that he's not as noble as James, as kind as Remus or as worried about everyone as Peter is, but he is protective. The thing is, he really doesn't care what people think about him. Unless it's his friends. He figures that if they're worth anything then they'll accept him as he is and if they don't, then they're not really worth his time. He knows that his friends see the good in him. The parts that he himself can't find half the time. He knows that they love him, and he loves them in return. Sirius is the sort of person that once you gain his acceptance and trust he will give it forever (unless you do something like go over to the evil side and fork over your best friends. Then he'll just kill you outright if he can.)



Powers/Abilities:
Sirius is a wizard and can do magic up to a seventh year student in Hogwarts (He is not good at potions though) He is very clever when it comes to magic. He is also an animagi, or a person who can transform into an animal. The animal he can change into is a big black dog.

Possessions: Sirius will be arriving with his magic motorbike, his wand, and the clothing on his back. (Which will in fact be a bit on the muggle side for the early British punk invasion.)

Reason for Playing: By nature Sirius is trouble. He tends to want to go where the adventure is and where new things are. To him, Outer_Divide would be like one big adventure full of dinosaurs and danger. He'd just have a whole lot of fun there.

First person:
What the hell is this thing?

[Sirius' face is impossibly close to the monitor of whatever device he's been given. After a few seconds of staring into it he pulls it back to tap on the video screen. He's clearly still naked after being released from his pod prison.]

Oi! Can anyone hear me? I had a motorbike and I damn well want to know where it got to. Hell, I had cloths … and a wand. Where the bloody hell's my wand? I want 'um back, now. And someone tell me where the hell I am? This clearly isn't Hogwarts and I know damn well I wasn't drunk enough to get shanghaied or some such nonsense.

Third person:

Sirius pressed his back against the cold stone of the school walls. He opened the map and carefully mumbled the phrase while tapping the paper with his wand. After ensuring the all clear he continued to proceed forward. It wasn't far now. Just three more feet until he was in front of the right painting. It was one of the few inside the castle that didn't move. This particular one was a secret entrance to one of the more privileged rooms in the castle, the prefect's bathroom. They hadn't used this passage in quite some time. Not since Remus had become a prefect. The other three had decided that, with one of their own being a prefect and all, they would choose not to use the secret passage unless Remus stated that there was an all clear. Remus had chosen not to give an all clear, ever.

It had taken months to convince Remus to agree to them sneaking in and using it for their own personal needs. Since becoming prefect he'd become so irritatingly responsible. A trait which Sirius did not approve of. Sirius had been forced to point out the extreme unfairness that this situation posed to the rest of the pack of Marauders. Remus was able to bathe in the lap of luxury while the other three were forced to stare down the manhood of the other Gryffindor boys in the, eugh, public showers. This wasn't to be born. Sirius had growled and moaned and hemmed and hawed at the other boy. He'd griped and groaned until, finally, Remus had relented. But only him. A decision which suited Sirius just fine.

As Sirius slipped into the passage and the cold greeted him, he realized that something strange was going on. Something not all together normal. Unfortunately he didn't have time to remove his wand, or even to think of doing so before the darkness greeted him in an unfriendly way.
